WHY GERIMED RETIREMENT VILLAGE?

We take pride in both our retirement establishments in Kleinmond and Langebaan.  

Gerimed started off as Kogelpark Clinic in Kogelpark Retirement Village, and opened their doors on 1 July 2001 in Kleinmond with only one patient. 

In 2004 it was renamed to Gerimed to incorporate the clinic in Langebaan. Gerimed Langebaan opened their doors on 3 May 2005 in the Langebaan Retirement Village.

Today Gerimed consists of two Care Centres which together consist of 50 beds for Sub-acute and Frail Care in single & double rooms, and 60 Assisted Apartments in Kleinmond and Langebaan.

Both locations are situated in the heart of community based towns, that offers complete tranquility and convenience in it’s location. 

We have carefully designed options and lifestyle offerings to facilitate a fulfilling retirement for our residents.

KLEINMOND & LANGEBAAN

KOGELPARK KLEINMOND

 Kleinmond is set between the Palmiet River and Kleinmond lagoon in the Western Cape. With stunning beaches ideal for walking, swimming, as well as some of the best restaurants on offer, and a stunning 18-hole golf course.

There are quaint shops, an art and pottery gallery; interior stores, as well as  seafood restaurants .

A few kilometers east of Kleinmond is the Rooisand nature reserve where you will find the following attractions:

Wild horses and bird life

Hiking trails in the Kogelberg nature reserve

Stroll along the cliff path or buy fresh vegetables at the market.

Kleinmond is an ideal village to relax and enjoy a sundowner.

LANGEBAAN

Referred to as the ‘Jewel of the West Coast’, the picturesque town of Langebaan hugs the shores of the Langebaan Lagoon.

The main attraction is the West Coast National Park (30 000ha), the waters are home to flamingos and a variety of other birds, whales and the park is well known as a paradise for bird watchers. Game viewing is possible within the park and the historic Geelbek restaurant and tourist centre are worth a visit.

Dad can enjoy a round of golf at the Langebaan Country Estate, whilst mum can pamper herself with holistic beauty treatments, or browse around the many shops offering everything from curios, clothing, sports gear, home interiors to arts and crafts. When night falls enjoy live entertainment or try your luck at the Casino at Club Mykonos.
